Guacamole Recipe the Entire Family Will Love

April 7, 2020

By Luci Fioritto

One of the greatest memories I have from my childhood is of me cooking with my mom. I remember myself helping making cakes for our family birthdays or simply watching her every day making nutritious meals after work. At our house is no different. I let Vivi participate in making our meals since the age of two. From washing the vegetables or the rice to choosing the pasta noddle. Something simple that makes them feel special in the household routine, and that actually helps them being more connected and not picky. .
Now that Vivi is four, Carolina and I are the sous chefs and she’s the chef anytime we make guacamole!

There are so many ways to enjoy this delish easy to make healthy dish. Our family loves guacamole on a toast with a boiled egg on top in the morning, as snack with tortillas in the afternoon, in our salads for lunch, or to literally “guac n’roll” our taco and quesadillas. Ready for the recipe?

Ingredients
2 ripe avocados
1 lemon or 2 limes squeezed
2 chopped snack size sweet yellow or orange bell peppers
3 chopped cherry tomatoes or 1 whole roman tomato
3 tablespoons of fresh cilantro or italian parsley
Salt to taste (I like pink Himalayan)

** 1/2 small onion chopped optional
*** 1 jalapeño without the seeds optional, if you like it hot. My kids don’t like hot foods, so we never add them.

Directions
Mash the avocados (we use a potato masher) to get the right balance of chunky and smooth. Add the lemon squeeze and all the other ingredients. Mix everything and enjoy!

Total time to make including prep: 8 minutes.

** 1/2 cebela bem picadinha, opcional.

Misture tudo e aproveite!

Tempo de preparo: 8 minutos.
