Oversized Sweater

November 27, 2017

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!
I love taking walks outside this time of the year and people watching. Everything looks so festive and everyone is starting to get into the holiday spirit.. I’m not gonna lie, it’s cold here in Michigan and we even had some snow flurries when we were taking these pictures, but nothing stops us from having a little fun 😉

I am obsessed with oversized sweaters this time of the year. They are cozy and comfortable – all that a momma and a girl needs to keep warm and in style.
Here I paired a chunky neutral color oversized sweater I got at Zara while in Europe, with older pieces I had in my closet, such as this mini black tapper fringe dress my husband got me on a trip to Chicago years ago, and a Marc Fisher over the knee super comfortable black boots (available at DSW here). I accessorized the look with a beaded statement necklace that I picked up at Neiman Marcus.

Have a great week!
Beijos xo

NYFW Street Style InspirationInspiração: New York Fashion Week Street Style

February 18, 2015

This is one of the longest winters ever!” Hmmmm… every year I say the same thing… However this year it is so cold out, that I can’t deal with it! Buaaahhh! These freezing temperatures make me just want to stay inside sometimes. The famous winter blues, I guess… Zzzzzzzzzzz….

Since life goes on, we have to make the best of it, right?

When I look out the window and I see the snow while I’m getting ready in the morning, all that I can think of are the layers and more layers I have to put on, and the layers and more layers I have to take off when I get to work, the coffee shop, or to any other place I have to go during my day. “Yeahhh, I hear you Lulu” you must be thinking… but my point is… the layers have to be there so why not have fun with it and be fashionable at the same time? Think cozy materials, colors, non-ordinary shoes… everything will look great if done tastefully!

Well, the 2015 Fall NYFW started last week. I selected a few street style looks to get us inspired to take on the winter. Let’s have fun with our winter fashion, people!

Ah, and don’t forget to drop me a comment letting me know which look inspired you the most.

Beijos with love,

Lulu.

Lulu.

Detroit Chimera Graffitti & Street Style

December 1, 2014

Hello everyone. Welcome to my blog!
I’ve always been into travel, fashion, art, design, nature and the simplest things in life… the things that bring a sparkle to my eyes.
Life for me is an everyday no stop adventure. Since I was little, my surroundings have been full of life, colors, contrast and lots of challenges, which in fact makes it very interesting…
I grew up in Brazil, and I lived in a few different places around the world. Now I live in the US, and I’m creating this blog to tell stories about the things I am into, share my daily experiences, inspirations and hopefully bring a smile to your face.

Last month I completed 8 years living in Michigan. Time goes fast! It feels like yesterday the day I arrived to the Metro Detroit area… The birds were flying their way down south, the trees were changing colors, and I definitely could feel in my Brazilian skin that winter was coming… Brrrr.
One of the things I like about Metro Detroit it’s that unique industrial, full of history, street style feel.
Before it gets too cold to post this, here’s an outfit I put together to contemplate this beautiful graffiti made by Detroit artist Kobie Solomon, located in Midtown Detroit, at the Russel Industrial Center.

The Russel Industrial Center is home to the largest artistic community in the Midwest with numerous painters, sculptors, musicians, photographers and many creative endeavors. Seen from the Interstate 75, the Chimera is the largest mural in the state of Michigan, measuring 8,750 square feet (813 m2). It reflects a complex portrait of the city and its history, composed of elements of Detroit’s industry and each of the four Detroit major sports teams: The Detroit Lions, The Detroit Red Wings, The Detroit Tigers and The Detroit Pistons. A street art piece you cannot miss!

Oi gente.
